Hello! It's always a good idea to do some research on acceptance rates when considering applying to medical schools. Below is a quick overview of acceptance rates for some medical schools in California. Keep in mind that this data may be subject to change, so it's a good idea to refer to the official school websites or AAMC resources for the most up-to-date information.

1. Stanford University School of Medicine: ~2.3% acceptance rate

2. University of California, San Francisco School of Medicine (UCSF): ~3.4% acceptance rate

3. David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA: ~4.2% acceptance rate

4. University of California, San Diego School of Medicine (UCSD): ~4.3% acceptance rate

5. Keck School of Medicine at USC: ~6.2% acceptance rate

6. University of California, Davis School of Medicine: ~7.1% acceptance rate

7. University of California, Irvine School of Medicine (UCI): ~8.6% acceptance rate

8. California Northstate University College of Medicine: ~10% acceptance rate

9. Loma Linda University School of Medicine: ~11.6% acceptance rate

These numbers should give you a general idea of the competitiveness of each school. Keep in mind that the acceptance rates do not provide a complete picture of what each school is looking for in applicants. In addition to considering these rates, you should also take into account factors like your MCAT scores, GPA, experiences, and personal statement.

It's also important to know that the overall acceptance rate for medical schools across the United States is around 41%. This means that applying to multiple medical schools, both in and outside of California, can increase your chances of getting accepted. Consider diversifying your school list to improve your chances and make sure to prepare a strong application. Good luck with your medical school journey!
