UF out-of-state acceptance rate?

Hello! I'm an out-of-state student interested in applying to UF. Does anyone know their acceptance rate for out-of-state applicants? Is it more competitive than for in-state applicants?

The University of Florida (UF) does not provide separate acceptance rates for in-state and out-of-state applicants. However, the overall acceptance rate is around 37%. UF’s student body is mostly composed of in-state students, with only about 3% of the undergraduate population coming from out-of-state. This indicates that the admission process for out-of-state students may be more competitive due to the limited spots available for them.

That being said, UF evaluates all applicants based on their individual merits and achievements. In addition to academics, the university also assesses applicants holistically, considering factors such as extracurricular involvement, leadership, and personal qualities. As an out-of-state applicant, you can still have a strong chance of being admitted to UF if your application demonstrates these qualities.

To improve your chances, make sure to focus on crafting a solid application that highlights your achievements, goals, and fit with the university. To give yourself the best odds, it's crucial to maintain strong grades, engage in meaningful extracurriculars, and write a compelling personal statement.
