UT Austin - easiest major to get in?

Hey guys! As a junior, I've been looking into UT Austin and I'm really interested in applying next year. I've heard that some majors might be easier to get into than others. Can anyone share their thoughts on which major(s) at UT Austin might be the easiest to be accepted into? Thanks!

While it's true that some majors at UT Austin may have slightly different admission rates, I wouldn't recommend choosing a major solely based on which one you believe is the easiest to get into. Selective colleges like UT Austin place a considerable emphasis on your passion and demonstrated interest in a particular field, which may be more difficult to convey if you select a major that doesn't genuinely align with your interests and goals.

That being said, generally speaking, more competitive majors at UT Austin include Computer Science, Engineering, and Business. Majors within the College of Liberal Arts, College of Natural Sciences (excluding Computer Science), and the College of Education tend to have slightly higher acceptance rates. It's essential to find a major related to your actual interests and tailor your application to showcase your strengths, unique background, and fit for that major.
