Hardest college to get into?

Heya, just out of curiosity, which college do y'all think is the hardest one to get accepted into? Like, I know Ivy Leagues are competitive, but are there other colleges with even lower acceptance rates? Just wondering!

Hey there! Great question. Although Ivy League schools are known for their competitiveness, there are indeed other schools with lower acceptance rates. For example, Stanford University, which is not an Ivy League school, has a very low acceptance rate, making it one of the most difficult to get into in the United States. The acceptance rate can hover around 4%, making it even more selective than some Ivy League institutions.

In addition to Stanford, other highly competitive non-Ivy League schools include the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), California Institute of Technology (Caltech), the University of Chicago, and Duke University. These schools boast strong reputations and rigorous academics, leading to a high volume of qualified applicants and, subsequently, lower acceptance rates.

In recent years, some liberal arts colleges like Pomona College and Swarthmore College have also experienced a decrease in acceptance rates, reaching the low double digits, making them quite competitive as well.

Keep in mind that acceptance rates are only one part of the picture when it comes to college admissions; the competitiveness of a school's applicant pool, the strength of your application, and the fit between you and the college's offerings all contribute to your chances of being accepted.
