WashU ACT requirements?

Hi everyone, I'm considering applying to Washington University in St. Louis, but I'm not sure if my ACT score is good enough. Do they have a specific ACT score requirement, or is there a general range that they look for in applicants? Any help would be great, thank you!

WashU does not have a strict ACT score requirement, as they practice holistic admissions, meaning they consider your application as a whole rather than evaluating any one component in a vacuum. However, test scores are one factor that WashU admissions officers do consider, and it's worth noting that you'll want to aim quite high to maximize your chances of acceptance, as the middle 50% of admitted students tend to have ACT scores between 33 and 35.

Keep in mind that WashU, like many universities, has adopted a test-optional policy, so submitting your ACT score is not mandatory. If you feel that your ACT score isn't representative of your abilities, you can choose not to submit it. Instead, your application will be evaluated based on other factors such as your GPA, class rigor, extracurricular activities, and essays.

Keep in mind, though, that at a school as competitive as WashU, you typically want to put as many gold stars on your application as possible, which means investing time and energy into earning a high score would likely be worth your while. Good luck with your application to WashU!
