Universities with Kinesiology Majors

I'm super interested in kinesiology and I hope to study it in college. Does anyone know of some good universities that offer kinesiology majors (preferably strong programs)? I'd really appreciate any suggestions or experiences you may have had with these schools!

You're on the right track by wanting to find a university with a strong kinesiology program. Kinesiology is an exciting and growing field! Here's a list of some universities known for their excellent kinesiology programs:

1. University of Michigan - Ann Arbor: The School of Kinesiology at UMich offers comprehensive programs for both undergraduate and graduate students, with many research opportunities and facilities available.

2. University of Wisconsin - Madison: The Department of Kinesiology at UW-Madison provides a variety of research and internship opportunities, and its faculty members are highly regarded in their fields.

3. Penn State University: The College of Health and Human Development at PSU has a strong kinesiology program with a range of areas to focus on, including athletic training, physical education, and exercise science.

4. University of Texas at Austin: UT Austin's College of Education offers a kinesiology major with various focus areas and a collaborative environment for growth.

5. University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign: UIUC's College of Applied Health Sciences houses a well-regarded kinesiology department that prepares students for research and practical applications in the field.

These are only a few examples of universities with strong kinesiology programs - there are many others out there. When evaluating potential universities, also remember to consider factors beyond just the program's prestige, such as location, campus culture, and financial aid opportunities. I recommend reaching out to current or former kinesiology students at these schools or visiting the websites of the kinesiology departments to get a sense of which program might be the best fit for you, as you want to be sure that you choose a school where you'll be positioned to thrive personally as well as academically.

Good luck!
