What would a 1300 on the SAT be in ACT?

Hi all! I recently scored a 1300 on my SAT, but I'm thinking about taking the ACT as well. What would my SAT score roughly translate to on the ACT scale?

Hi! Good question. While there isn't a perfect 1-to-1 conversion between SAT and ACT scores, there are concordance tables established by the College Board and ACT, Inc. that can help you estimate your equivalent score on the other test. Based on those concordance tables, a 1300 on the SAT is roughly equivalent to a 27 on the ACT.

However, since each test has a different format, it's important to familiarize yourself with the ACT before taking it. The ACT has a science section, which the SAT doesn't have, and the timing and question styles also differ between the two tests. It's a good idea to take some practice ACT exams and review the testing strategies specific to the ACT to ensure you're well-prepared, rather than relying on automatically doing relatively as well as you did on the SAT.

Best of luck with your testing and college applications!
