Hey, peeps! I'm interested in applying to Georgetown, and I'm trying to get a head start on my college essays. Can anyone share the essay prompts for applicants to Georgetown? Thanks in advance!
Hello! It's great that you're taking initiative on your college essays. Georgetown University has a few different supplemental essay prompts. You can check out those for the most recent applications cycle, as well as detailed breakdowns of how to tackle each one, on CollegeVine’s blog: https://blog.collegevine.com/how-to-write-the-georgetown-university-essays.
Keep in mind, though, that these prompts can change from year to year. So, while you can start getting a general sense of what’s going to be asked of you now, I’d recommend waiting until August 1st before your senior year to actually start writing your responses. That’s when the prompts for the coming applications cycle are officially released, and you don’t want your hard work to go to waste if you craft strong responses before then only for the prompts to change.
Good luck, and happy writing!
