UCLA Out of State Acceptance?

Hey! I'm applying to UCLA from out of state and I'm wondering about my chances. Does anyone know if their acceptance rates for out-of-state applicants are different from those in-state?

Acceptance rates for UCLA do differ between in-state and out-of-state applicants. Given that UCLA is a public university in California, it has a mission to serve California residents first and foremost. Although the acceptance rate for out-of-state students is lower, it's important to remember that your individual chances of being admitted depend on the strength of your application, including factors such as grades, test scores, extracurricular activities, and essays.

While applying as an out-of-state applicant may decrease your chances compared to those applying in-state, submitting a strong application showcasing your academic achievements, passions, and unique qualities will help improve your chances of admission. Additionally, considering other UC schools and universities across the country, both public and private, can provide you with more opportunities to find the best fit for your academic and personal interests.
