UGA Test Scores—What's competitive?

Hey everyone! I'm planning on applying to UGA, and I've been wondering what the competitive test scores are for SAT and ACT. Also, do they consider superscores or just the highest single test date score?

Hey there! When applying to the University of Georgia (UGA), it's helpful to know the middle 50% range of test scores to gauge your competitiveness. For the SAT, the middle 50% range for admitted students is usually around 1310-1470, while for the ACT, it's around 28-33. Keep in mind that these are just ballpark figures, and UGA considers various aspects of your application beyond just test scores.

As for superscoring, UGA does consider superscores for both the SAT and ACT. This means they'll take the highest score from each section across all of your test dates and use those to create a new, "superscored" composite. So, for example, if you scored higher on the Math section in one test and higher on the Evidence-based Reading and Writing section in another for the SAT, UGA will combine those scores to create a new, potentially higher, composite score.

Remember that while competitive test scores are important, UGA also uses a holistic review process to evaluate applicants, taking into account your overall academic performance, extracurricular activities, essays, and other factors.

Best of luck with your UGA application!
