UT Austin acceptance rate?

Hey guys! UT Austin is one of my top choices and I've been researching about the university. I'm wondering what's their acceptance rate like, especially for out-of-state students like me? Any info would be appreciated!

Hello! UT Austin is a great school, and it's awesome that you're interested in it. The overall acceptance rate at UT Austin has been hovering around 31% in recent years. However, for out-of-state students, the acceptance rate is slightly lower due to the high number of in-state students who are automatically admitted under Texas's top 6% rule.

It might be helpful for you to know that although UT Austin has a higher acceptance rate for in-state students, out-of-state students are still admitted and make up about 10% of the incoming class. It's important to have a strong application, including good grades, test scores, and extracurricular involvement to boost your chances of being admitted, especially as an out-of-state applicant.

Keep in mind that the acceptance rate can vary based on factors like the specific program you're applying to within the university. While looking into the acceptance rate is helpful, don't forget to also focus on building a strong application to showcase your strengths and boost your chances of getting in. Good luck with your applications!
