UCLA Admit Stats: What are the ranges?

Hey! I'm a high school junior, and UCLA is one of the colleges I'm interested in applying to. I was wondering if anyone could give me an idea of the admit stats for UCLA, like the ranges for GPA and test scores. Thanks for any help!

Hello! UCLA is a very competitive university, and it's great that you're interested in applying there. To help you better understand the admit stats, I'll provide you with the middle 50% range of GPAs for accepted students. Regarding test scores, UCLA, along with the whole UC system, has actually gone test-blind, which is different from test-optional in that they won't review your scores even if you submit them.

For UCLA, the middle 50% unweighted GPA range for admitted students is approximately 3.95-4.00, while the weighted range is 4.37-4.74. While specific grading scales vary by high school, these numbers show that you undoubtedly need to have an excellent academic record to be a competitive applicant at UCLA.

However, while GPA is undoubtedly crucial to your application, remember that UCLA, along with other UCs, employs a holistic review process, meaning they also consider your essay, extracurriculars, and any other aspects of your application that showcase your potential for success. So, focus on building a strong overall application, as even a perfect 4.0 (unweighted) won't get you into UCLA on its own.

Good luck as you start working on your applications!
