Pitzer ED acceptance rate?

Does anyone have any info on the early decision acceptance rate for Pitzer College? Does applying ED increase my chances compared to RD? Thanks for your help!

The early decision acceptance rate for Pitzer College has not been publicly released, but it's typically higher than the overall acceptance rate for most schools, including Pitzer. Applying Early Decision (ED) can give you a slight advantage in the admissions process because it demonstrates a strong commitment to the school and can help increase their yield rate.

Additionally, colleges tend to fill a significant portion of their incoming class through ED, which means there may be fewer spots available during the Regular Decision (RD) round.

To give you an idea of the boost, applying ED to super selective schools tends to result in a 1.6x or a 60% increase in your chances of admission on average. The benefit gets smaller as the school gets less selective, but it's still helpful. For example, if your chances before applying early were 4%, that would increase your chances to around 6.4%, giving you an additional 2.4 percentage points.

Keep in mind that applying ED comes with a binding agreement that you'll attend the school if accepted, so you must be certain that Pitzer is your top choice and that you can afford it, given that you won't be able to compare financial aid packages from other schools.

Remember that the rest of your application, including your grades, test scores, extracurriculars, and essays, will still play a significant role in the admissions decision. So while applying ED can help, it's essential to put in the effort and present your best self across all aspects of your application. Good luck!
