Getting Old SAT Scores

I took the SAT a few years ago but never actually looked at my scores. Does anyone know how I can get those old SAT scores? Is there a specific process I have to go through or a fee I have to pay?

To obtain your old SAT scores, you'll need to contact the College Board, the organization that administers the SAT. You can follow these steps to access your scores:

1. Create or log in to your existing College Board account at collegeboard.org. If you don't already have an account, you'll be required to create one using your personal information (name, date of birth, etc.).

2. Once logged in, navigate to the "My SAT" section or the score section in your account dashboard. If your scores are recent (within the past couple of years), you might be able to access them directly from your account.

3. If you took the SAT more than a few years ago, or if you cannot find your scores on the website, you may need to order them through the "Request Archived Scores" or "Request Old Scores" service. This process usually involves filling out a form with your personal information, test dates, and possibly your SAT registration number (if you have it).

4. Be aware that there is a fee for requesting archived SAT scores. Rush orders will have an additional fee. It generally takes around 10 business days for scores to be sent out, and rush orders may be available in around 2-4 business days.

5. Once you've submitted the necessary information and paid the fees, the College Board will process your request and send your SAT scores to you and/or the designated colleges or universities.

Keep in mind that some colleges and universities may have specific policies on how old SAT scores can be, so make sure to verify their requirements before submitting your scores.
