Is it okay to switch intended majors between application rounds?

Hey guys, I'm a little stressed about deciding on my intended major for college applications. Is it alright if I choose one major for my early decision application and then switch to a different major for my regular decision applications? Will colleges find out? Any advice would be appreciated!

Hi there! I understand that deciding on an intended major can be a bit overwhelming. It's actually pretty common for students to change their minds about their intended major during the application process. If you apply for early decision with one major and then switch to a different major for your regular decision applications, it's generally not a big issue. Colleges usually do not share this type of information with each other, so it's unlikely they will find out. However, it's important to consider how your choice of major might affect your admission chances, as some majors are more competitive than others. My suggestion would be to choose a major that aligns with your interests and strengths, and focus on showcasing your passion for the subject in your application. Good luck with your applications!
