Least competitive majors at Texas A&M?

Hi everyone! I'm planning to apply to Texas A&M, but I'm not entirely set on a major yet. Can anyone share some of the least competitive majors at this university? How do I find a major that fits well with my interests and goals?

Hi there! It's great that you're considering applying to Texas A&M. To find a major that suits your interests and goals, I recommend doing some self-reflection and research on the majors offered by Texas A&M. The university has a comprehensive list of majors on their website, which you can use to identify majors that line up with your passions.

As for least competitive majors, it's essential to keep in mind that admission to certain majors can fluctuate each year based on the applicant pool and university goals. That said, typically, the most competitive majors at Texas A&M tend to be in the College of Engineering, Mays Business School, and certain science-based programs. On the flip side, majors in the College of Liberal Arts and some majors in the College of Education & Human Development and College of Geosciences might be less competitive. However, this information should be taken with a grain of salt, as there is always variation.

To find a major that is the right fit for you, consider attending open houses, taking introductory courses if you're already enrolled, or reaching out to current students or professors in the majors you're interested in. You can also do some research on potential career paths related to different majors to see which ones align best with your goals.

Please remember that even though some majors may be less competitive, it's still essential to focus on your academic performance, extracurricular activities, and overall application strength. Following your passions and excelling in your chosen field will ultimately lead you to the best possible college experience.
