21 ACT Equivalent in SAT?

Quick question - if I have a 21 on the ACT, what would that roughly translate to in SAT scores? Just trying to figure out if I should focus on one test over the other. Thanks in advance!

A 21 on the ACT roughly translates to an SAT score between 1060 and 1090. However, to determine which test you should focus on, consider taking a diagnostic SAT test to compare your performance on both exams. The tests do differ slightly in format and content covered, so certain students may find one test more suitable to their strengths and test-taking preferences.

Also remember that your performance will likely improve on either test with dedicated practice and study. Familiarize yourself with the structure, content, and question types of both tests to find out which one feels more comfortable for you. If you see better results and feel more confident with one test, then you might choose to concentrate on that one as you prepare for college admissions. That approach will be more reliable than just focusing on the general equating of one score to another.

Best of luck with your testing journey, and college process as a whole!
