Accelerated PA programs in NYC?

Hi, I'm considering a career as a Physician Assistant and I'd love to stay in NYC for college. Are there any accelerated PA programs in the city that you know of or have experience with? Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks!

The only one that I'm aware of is through St. John's University. St. John's has a 5-year Physician Assistant Bachelor's/Master's program. You earn a BS in Health Sciences during the first three years and, if you meet the academic requirements, move directly into the graduate portion to earn your MS in Physician Assistant Studies in the final two years.

When researching accelerated PA programs, make sure to pay attention to the prerequisites and entry requirements (such as maintaining a certain GPA and prerequisite coursework) to ensure that you maintain eligibility throughout your undergraduate studies. Additionally, consider visiting the campuses if possible and speaking with current students or alumni to gain insight into the program's structure, coursework, and quality.

Remember that PA programs are often competitive and require strong academic performance and clinical experience. So, it's essential to focus on maintaining a high GPA, gaining clinical experience, and developing a comprehensive understanding of the healthcare field throughout your studies.

Good luck with your search and future career as a Physician Assistant!
