Affordable schools in the US for international students?

As an international student, I'm looking for affordable colleges and universities in the US. Can anyone suggest some cheap schools that offer good programs and financial aid? Thanks in advance!

There are several colleges and universities in the US that offer affordable options and financial aid for international students. Here are a few options to consider:

1. Berea College (Kentucky): Berea is unique because it offers a full-tuition Scholarship to every admitted student. International students have to pay for their room and board, but the tuition is fully covered. Berea has a strong liberal arts curriculum with a wide range of majors to choose from.

2. Macaulay Honors College at CUNY (New York): Macaulay offers a merit-based scholarship, which includes full tuition and other benefits. Although the scholarship is mostly for New York residents, international students might be eligible for partial funding. The college offers a variety of majors and has a strong connection to internship and job opportunities in New York City.

3. Colleges that Meet 100% Demonstrated Need: Some colleges have a policy to meet 100% of demonstrated financial need for all students, including international students. Examples of these schools are Amherst College, Harvard University, MIT, and Yale University. Keep in mind that these are competitive institutions, but if you do get accepted, they can potentially cover a significant portion of your costs through need-based financial aid.

Remember to research each college's financial aid criteria and application process for international students, as not all schools provide equal opportunities for international applicants. Also, consider reaching out to the college's financial aid office to learn more about the options available to international students.

In addition to institutional financial aid, you can also look for external scholarships targeting international students, such as the Rotary Foundation, Fulbright Program, or the Davis United World College Scholar Program.

Good luck in your search!
