Do colleges see all of my SAT scores?

Hi everyone! I'm a little worried because I've taken the SAT a few times, and not all of my scores are great. When I apply to colleges, will they see all of my SAT scores, or just the best ones? Is there any way for me to choose which scores they see?

Hello! In most cases, you have control over which SAT scores you send to colleges. This is thanks to College Board's Score Choice feature, which allows you to select specific test dates and the corresponding scores you'd like to send to each college. You should be able to do this when you log in to your College Board account and request to send your scores.

However, some schools require that you submit all of your SAT scores, regardless of the Score Choice policy. These schools practice what's called "All Score reporting" or "All Test Scores reporting." Make sure to check the testing policies of each institution you're applying to, as it can vary from school to school.

Even if a college requires all SAT scores, they generally focus on your best scores for each section (math, reading, and writing). Some colleges will "superscore," which means they take your highest score from each section across multiple test administrations and create a composite superscore. Other institutions might consider your highest single test administration score. It's important to look at the specific policies of each college you're applying to for a better understanding of how they evaluate SAT scores.

In summary, whether colleges see all of your SAT scores depends on the specific policies of the schools you're applying to. You have some control over which scores you send using Score Choice, but some schools may require you to submit all of your scores. It's essential to research your intended colleges' SAT policies to understand their requirements and evaluation process. Good luck!
