New colleges that aren't Ivy League?

Hey everyone! I'm looking for some newer colleges that aren't part of the Ivy League but still have a good reputation and solid programs. Any suggestions would be really appreciated, especially if they're on the East Coast!

Hi there! There are plenty of newer, non-Ivy League colleges on the East Coast that have a great reputation and strong programs. Here are a few suggestions to get you started:

1. Olin College of Engineering (Needham, MA) - A top-tier engineering school with project-based learning and unique curriculum design, founded in 1997.

2. Northeastern University (Boston, MA) - A larger university known for its strong co-op program and real-world experience, with its rise in national rankings over the last decade or two.

3. Babson College (Wellesley, MA) - This school specializes in entrepreneurship and business, and has been growing in popularity and prestige in recent years.

4. Stony Brook University (Stony Brook, NY) - A public research university within the State University of New York (SUNY) system, Stony Brook excels in STEM fields as well as some humanities programs.

5. University of Maryland, Baltimore County (Baltimore, MD) - Founded in 1966, UMBC has made a name for itself in a wide variety of fields, particularly in research, STEM, and the arts.

6. Florida Polytechnic University (Lakeland, FL) - Established in 2012, this young university emphasizes STEM programs and has earned recognition for its architectural design.

These are just a few examples of newer, highly-regarded colleges that are not part of the Ivy League. When researching these schools, make sure to consider factors like location, size, academic programs, campus culture, and available resources to help you determine the best-fit institutions for your interests and goals. Good luck with your college search!
