Do colleges send out merch when you're accepted?

Hey guys, kinda random question, but do colleges send out any merchandise (like a t-shirt or a sticker) when they send the acceptance letter/package? Has anyone experienced this or know anything about it? Thanks!

Hey there! Whether or not a college sends out merchandise when they send out acceptance letters/packages varies from school to school. Some colleges may include small items like stickers or pens, but it's not extremely common for colleges to send t-shirts or larger items of merchandise along with acceptance letters. It's always possible, however, that some institutions might surprise their accepted students with some swag!

One thing you can be certain of receiving in your acceptance package is information about the college, such as financial aid, housing, and any admitted students events. Many schools also like to include a personal touch like a congratulatory note or a signed letter from the admissions office.

If you're really excited about getting some college merch once you're accepted, you could always visit the college's bookstore (online or in-person) to purchase some gear and celebrate your acceptance that way. Or, if you're planning on attending accepted students weekend, there's a chance you'll be given some sort of t-shirt or larger item then.

Rest assured, you'll get plenty of swag during orientation week, from clubs, and through other involvements once you arrive on the campus of whichever college you ultimately select, so don't worry - you'll have plenty of opportunities to show off your school pride!
