Is it better to have a high GPA with easier classes or a lower GPA with challenging classes?

Hey guys! I'm trying to plan my senior year courses, and I'm wondering if it's better to take easier classes and maintain a high GPA or take more challenging classes and potentially have a lower GPA. What do colleges prefer to see on transcripts? Any advice would be appreciated!

Hi there! It's great that you're thinking about your senior year courses and planning ahead. When it comes to college admissions, they generally like to see a balance of both challenging courses and a strong GPA. If you can maintain a high GPA while taking some more difficult classes, that would be ideal. However, it's also essential to not overload yourself and make sure you can handle the workload. Colleges appreciate students who challenge themselves, but they also want to see that you can perform well academically. It might be a good idea to take a mix of challenging and less demanding courses to strike the right balance. Ultimately, it's essential to choose classes that you're genuinely interested in and passionate about. This will make it easier for you to excel in them and maintain a strong GPA. Good luck with your decision!
