Most common high school names?

This may seem random, but I'm really curious lol. Does anyone have any info on the most common high school names in the U.S.? I keep hearing about schools with similar names, so I wonder which ones pop up the most.

That's an interesting question! While I don't have an exact ranking, some common high school names across the U.S. often include some combination of the following elements:

1. Geographical names: High schools are frequently named after the city, town, or region they're located in, particularly in small towns. For example, you might see names like "Springfield High School" or "Riverdale High School."

2. Presidents and other historical figures: Many high schools are named after significant historical figures, such as U.S. presidents. A few popular ones include "Washington High School," "Lincoln High School," "Jefferson High School," and "Roosevelt High School."

3. Saints and religious figures: Catholic high schools, in particular, are often named after saints or other religious figures. For example, you might come across "St. Mary's High School" or "St. Thomas Aquinas High School."

4. Notable local figures: Some high schools may be named after prominent local figures who have made significant contributions to the community, such as educators, philanthropists, or politicians.

Of course, there's a lot of variation in high school names beyond these categories, but these elements seem to be widely present in high school names across the U.S. It's not unusual for schools with similar names to be found in different states or even within the same state, as many towns and regions often seek to pay homage to the same historical figures or share similar geographical features.
