Do we know Boston University's SAT requirements?

Hello! I'm a high school junior and I've been looking into Boston University as one of my top choices. Can someone please inform me about the SAT requirements for BU? Thank you!

Hello! Boston University is currently test-optional, which means that submitting SAT scores is not required, and your application will be considered complete without them. However, since BU has been getting increasingly selective in recent years, it may still be wise to aim for a strong score on the SAT. You can read more about how to navigate test-optional policies on CollegeVine's blog: https://blog.collegevine.com/does-test-optional-mean-test-optional/.

If you're considering submitting SAT scores, it's helpful to know the general range of scores for admitted students. While BU doesn't have a strict minimum requirement, the middle 50% of accepted students usually have a score between 1350 and 1500. Scoring within or above this range would give your application a boost.

That being said, remember that BU takes a holistic approach to evaluating applications, and factors like your grades, course rigor, extracurricular activities, essays, and recommendation letters will also be important in the process. Unfortunately, even a perfect 1600 won't get you in on its own, so make sure you don't spend all your time studying for the SAT at the expense of other areas of your application.

Good luck with your application journey!
