Sending SAT scores to colleges for free?

Hey! So, I've heard that there's a limited number of free score sends when you're taking the SAT. Can someone give me more info about this, like when and how to do it? Trying to save some money here, lol. Thanks!

Hey! You're right, the College Board does offer a limited number of free SAT score sends to save you some money on college applications. You can send up to four free score reports to colleges if you request them during the time frame between your registration for the SAT and up to nine days after the test date. After that, there will be a fee for each additional score report you send.

To take advantage of these free score sends, you can do the following:

1. When you register for the SAT, you'll be given the option to choose up to four colleges or scholarship programs to send your scores to. Take that opportunity to research the schools you're interested in and decide which ones you'd like to send your scores to.

2. If you don't choose them during registration but change your mind within the nine-day grace period after the test, you can still log in to your College Board account and select up to four schools or scholarship programs to send your scores to for free.

Keep in mind, however, that when you use the free score sends, the colleges will receive your scores before you do, so you won't have the opportunity to review your scores before they're sent. If you're confident in your performance and have a solid list of schools you'd like to send your scores to during registration or within nine days after the test, go ahead and utilize those free score sends!

Good luck with your SAT and your college applications!
