Colleges with ice skating?

Hi guys! I'm a junior really into ice-skating, and I'm starting to think about college choices. Would love to continue skating while in college. Which colleges have ice-skating rinks on campus or nearby? Any suggestions or personal experiences are welcome!

Hi there! It's awesome to see you're interested in continuing your ice-skating passion while in college. There are several colleges with ice-skating rinks either on campus or nearby. Here are some notable options to consider:

1. Harvard University: Bright-Landry Hockey Center, located on the campus, is home to both the men's and women's ice hockey teams. It also offers public skating sessions and learn-to-skate programs for students and the community.

2. University of Michigan: Yost Ice Arena is on the campus and serves as the home to the men's and women's ice hockey teams. They also provide public skating sessions, figure skating club, and hockey programs for students.

3. Dartmouth College: Thompson Arena, situated on the campus, is the rink for the men's and women's ice hockey teams and offers public skating hours and learn-to-skate programs for students.

4. Boston College: Conte Forum is home to men's and women's hockey teams. Additionally, the Flynn Recreation Complex offers a recreational skating rink for BC students to use.

5. Yale University: Ingalls Rink, situated on the campus, is home to the men's and women's ice hockey teams and offers public skating hours and learn-to-skate programs for students.

6. University of Minnesota: 3M Arena at Mariucci and Ridder Arena are on campus, serving the men's and women's hockey teams. They also have open skate hours for students and the community.

Bigger universities with sports programs often have their rinks, but smaller colleges may have rinks nearby or partnerships with nearby facilities. Keep in mind, if a college has a competitive figure skating or ice hockey program, they will likely have an on-campus or nearby rink. It's essential to visit the college websites or contact the admissions offices to learn more about their ice-skating facilities and recreational opportunities for figure skating and general skating.

Good luck with your search, and I hope you find the perfect college to continue your ice-skating journey!
