Bowdoin Fly-In Program

Has anyone here participated in Bowdoin College's fly-in program? I'm curious about the application process and overall experience. What did you learn and enjoy during the program? Thanks in advance!

I haven't personally participated in Bowdoin's fly-in program, but I've heard from students who have attended. The application process typically requires you to fill out an online form, submit a high school transcript, submit a recommendation letter from a guidance counselor or teacher, and write a short essay on why you believe Bowdoin would be a good fit for you.

Keep in mind that the program is usually geared towards high school seniors, particularly those from underrepresented backgrounds or first-generation college students.

As for the overall experience, many students who've attended share positive feedback. During the fly-in program, you'll have the opportunity to stay overnight with a current student, attend classes, and meet professors.

Additionally, you'll get to explore the campus and its facilities while participating in various social and academic activities. These immersion experiences allow you to learn more about the college's culture, academic offerings, and extracurricular opportunities. You'll also have the chance to interact with current Bowdoin students, faculty, and staff, which can provide valuable insight into life on campus.
