Boston University Rolling Admissions

Hi everyone! I had a question about BU's admissions process. Do they have a rolling admissions policy or is it just early decision and regular decision? Thanks for your help!

Hello! Boston University does not have rolling admissions. They follow a more traditional admissions timeline, offering both Early Decision (ED) and Regular Decision (RD) options for applicants.

Early Decision has two rounds: ED I and ED II. ED I has a deadline around November 1st, and decisions are typically released in mid-December. ED II typically has a deadline around January 1st-4th, and decisions are released in mid-February. Keep in mind, both of these options are binding, meaning if you're admitted, you commit to attending BU and must withdraw all other college applications.

Regular Decision typically has a deadline around January 1st-4th as well, and decisions are released in late March or early April. This option is non-binding, so you have until the national response date, which is usually May 1st, to make your final college decision.

Feel free to ask if you have any more questions about BU's application process or deadlines. Good luck with your application!
