Hi all, I'm a junior and about to start preparing for the SAT. I wanted some advice on when I should plan to take the test for the first time? I'm trying to balance school work, extracurriculars, and test prep, so any suggestions on the best time of the year to take the SAT would be super helpful!
One good time to consider taking the SAT for the first time during your junior year is March or April. By this point, you would have covered most of the necessary concepts in your classes at school, giving you a solid foundation to build on for the test. Additionally, taking the test in spring leaves you with ample time to retake the test if necessary, as there are test dates in May, August, October, November, and December.
Of course, every student's schedule and commitments are different, so consider your own workload and plan accordingly. Good luck!
