Binding nature of Stanford's Early Action?

Hello everyone! I'm really interested in applying to Stanford through their Early Action program, but I'm a bit confused. Is it a binding decision or can I still apply to other schools if accepted? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Stanford's Early Action (EA) program is restrictive, but not binding. This means that, if admitted, you are not obligated to attend Stanford and can still apply to other schools during the Regular Decision cycle. However, Stanford's Restrictive Early Action policy does not allow you to apply to other private colleges or universities under their Early Action, Early Decision, or any other early programs that require a commitment. But you are allowed to apply to public institutions and international institutions under non-binding early programs, as well as any college or university with a non-binding rolling admission process.

So, in summary, you can apply to Stanford through the Early Action program and be able to consider other options if admitted, but there are some restrictions on which other early programs you can apply to simultaneously. Be sure to check the admissions policies of all the schools you're interested in to ensure you comply with their unique requirements. Good luck!
