Lewis and Clark: Art Therapy Program?

Hey there! I'm interested in pursuing a degree in art therapy and am wondering if Lewis and Clark College offers an art therapy program or anything closely related? Does anyone have any experience with this?

Hi! While Lewis and Clark College doesn't offer a specific art therapy program for undergrads, they do have strong programs in both art and psychology, which are integral components of art therapy. You can major in one of these areas (or even double major if you're really passionate about both) to build a strong foundation for a future career in art therapy.

It's essential to note that most careers in art therapy require a master's degree, usually in art therapy or counseling with a concentration in art therapy. So, after completing your undergraduate degree at Lewis and Clark or elsewhere, you would need to pursue a graduate degree in art therapy to become a fully licensed art therapist.

If you decide to attend Lewis and Clark, the school's Office of Academic Advising and Career Services can help provide resources and guidance for your path toward a career in art therapy.

Feel free to ask any further questions or express any concerns, and good luck on your journey toward becoming an art therapist!
