Hi everyone, just a quick question! I'm a huge football fan and I know that Emory has a great athletic program, but I can't seem to find any info about their football team. Do they have one? If so, what's their division and performance like? Thanks in advance!
Hello! Emory University indeed has a strong athletic program, but they do not have a football team. Emory is a member of the NCAA Division III and participates in the University Athletic Association (UAA), but their athletic offerings focus mainly on sports like basketball, soccer, swimming and diving, track and field, cross country, tennis, volleyball, golf, and baseball for men, along with softball for women.
While you won't be able to enjoy a college football experience at Emory, the University's location in Atlanta, Georgia, offers plenty of opportunities to catch major football games. You could attend the games of other college teams or even professional football, like the NFL's Atlanta Falcons. Also, you can still show your school spirit by attending and cheering on Emory's other athletic teams in various sports.
I hope this answers your question, and best of luck with your college search!
