What are some highly ranked MAcc programs?

Hi everyone! I'm planning for my college applications and I'm considering a major in accounting. Does anyone know some of the best colleges for MAcc (Master of Accounting) programs? Any suggestions or rankings would be greatly appreciated!

Hi there! It's great to see you're considering a Master of Accounting (MAcc) program for your graduate studies. While rankings can differ slightly depending on the source, I'll give you a list of some highly ranked colleges that offer excellent MAcc programs. Keep in mind that the reputation of the accounting department and the overall school itself can also be important factors.

1. University of Texas at Austin (McCombs School of Business) - Often considered one of the top accounting programs in the country, UT Austin's McCombs School of Business has a strong reputation for its graduate and undergraduate accounting programs.

2. University of Southern California (Marshall School of Business) - USC's Marshall School consistently ranks highly for its MAcc program, and offers several unique tracks for students to choose from.

3. Brigham Young University (Marriott School of Business) - BYU's Marriott School is another top contender offering a strong accounting program, both in terms of academic rigor and career preparation.

4. University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign (Gies College of Business) - UIUC's Gies College of Business offers a highly ranked accounting program, known for its impressive job placement rates and strong accounting curriculum.

5. University of Notre Dame (Mendoza College of Business) - Mendoza College of Business provides a well-regarded accounting education with a strong focus on ethics and values.

6. Indiana University Bloomington (Kelley School of Business) - Kelley School of Business has a solid accounting program with an expansive alumni network and strong connections to industry.

7. University of Florida (Fisher School of Accounting) - UF's Fisher School of Accounting is widely respected and provides a comprehensive program in accounting.

Of course, there are many other excellent MAcc programs available at various universities across the country. Make sure to research individual programs and visit their websites to learn more about the curriculum, faculty, and career placement statistics, as well as applying for financial support. It's also a good idea to talk to current students and alumni to gather information about their experiences with the program. Good luck with your college applications and your future accounting career!
