Hey guys, I'm really into sports and I'm considering applying to Queens College. Does anyone know what kind of sports teams they have there? Any first-hand experience or insights would be super helpful!
Queens College, part of the City University of New York (CUNY) system, has a variety of sports teams for both men and women. Their varsity teams compete at the NCAA Division II level, and they are part of the East Coast Conference (ECC).
For men's sports, they offer basketball, baseball, soccer, tennis, cross country, and track and field. On the women's side, you can find basketball, cross country, track and field, dance, soccer, tennis, softball, and volleyball.
While I don't have first-hand experience with Queens College sports, I've heard that their teams are competitive within the ECC. The college also offers athletics facilities on campus, including Fitzgerald Gymnasium, Outdoor Track & Intramural Fields, and Tennis Center. Additionally, Queens College has intramural and club sports programs, if you're interested in participating at a less competitive level but still want the camaraderie and excitement that sports provide.
As you do your research, try reaching out to current student-athletes to get their perspectives on the school's sports program, the time commitment, and what they enjoy about being part of a team at Queens College. Best of luck!
