Using a graphing calculator on SAT?

Hi everyone! I have a question about graphing calculators and the SAT. Are you allowed to use them during the test? I want to make sure I'm prepared and know what I can and cannot bring with me on test day. Thanks!

Yes, you are allowed to use most graphing calculators on the SAT. In fact, many students find them to be a helpful tool during the math sections of the test. However, it's essential to make sure that your specific calculator is permitted by the College Board.

The College Board has a list of approved calculator models that you can use during the exam. Some popular graphing calculators that are allowed include the TI-83, TI-84, and TI-Nspire series. Make sure to check the College Board's website for the full list of approved calculators and guidelines: https://satsuite.collegeboard.org/sat/what-to-bring-do/calculator-policy

Keep in mind that you won't be allowed to use certain types of calculators, such as those with a QWERTY keyboard, those that have wireless capabilities, or those that require an electrical outlet. Moreover, you are only allowed to use your calculator during the calculator-allowed sections of the Math test.

Before the test, familiarize yourself with your graphing calculator and its functions, as this will help you save time and feel confident on test day. Make sure the calculator is in good working condition, and don't forget to bring extra batteries!

Good luck with your SAT preparation!
