What are App State's admission requirements?

I've been looking at Appalachian State, but I can't find a detailed list of their admission requirements. Does anybody know what they are or where I can find them?

I'd be happy to help you out with Appalachian State's admission requirements. They have a few key elements that you'll need to provide in your application, which I have listed below:

1. Application: Students must submit either the Common Application or the App State-specific application, both of which are available on the school's website.

2. Application Fee: $65 application fee is required, but the university grants fee waivers for eligible students who qualify based on financial need.

3. High School Transcript: You'll need to submit an official transcript that includes your courses, grades, GPA, and class rank (if available).

4. Test Scores: Although App State has adopted a test-optional policy due to COVID-19, you still have the option to submit SAT or ACT scores if you believe it would strengthen your application. Note that if you do choose to submit your test scores, there is no preference given to either the SAT or ACT and no required minimum scores—App State will consider them as part of their holistic review process.

5. Letters of Recommendation: Although not required, you can submit up to two letters of recommendation from teachers, school counselors, or other individuals who can speak to your academic abilities or personal qualities.

6. Personal Essay: A personal essay is not required but is strongly recommended. You can choose from among the topics provided on the Common Application or App State-specific application.

7. Extracurricular Activities: Be sure to list any relevant involvement in clubs, sports, volunteering, or other extracurricular activities, as these will be considered during the admission process.

Keep in mind that admission to Appalachian State is competitive, so it's crucial to have a strong academic record and extracurricular involvement. To increase your chances, it's also a good idea to visit the school's website and check for any relevant deadlines, as well as take note of any additional requirements specific to your desired major.

Best of luck as you work on your Appalachian State application!
