UC SAT Requirements

Hey, I'm a bit confused about the SAT requirements for the UC schools. Are there any minimum scores or recommended ranges for applying to UC campuses? Any insight would be really helpful. Thanks!

Hello! The University of California (UC) system has actually transitioned to a test-blind policy, meaning that they no longer review SAT or ACT scores at all in the admissions process. This policy was implemented starting with the Fall 2021 application cycle and remains in effect.

Since UC schools are test-blind, you don't need to worry about minimum scores or recommended ranges for applying to any of the UC campuses. Instead, focus on your grades, extracurricular activities, personal insight questions, and other application components that UC schools will consider when evaluating your application.

Keep in mind that the UC campuses still may use standardized test scores for purposes outside of the admission process, such as course placement, certain scholarships, and eligibility for the statewide admissions guarantee.

Good luck with your application!
