Hey! I'm a prospective student-athlete and I've been checking out Pace University. Does anyone know what division their sports teams compete in (i.e. NCAA Division I, II, or III), and how competitive their programs are? Any insight would be great!
Pace University's sports teams compete in NCAA Division II as a member of the Northeast-10 Conference. In general, Division II competition is competitive, but not typically at the same level as Division I. You'll still have the opportunity to participate in competitive college athletics, but the focus may be more on the balance between academics and athletics compared to Division I programs.
Pace offers a range of varsity sports for both men and women, including basketball, soccer, swimming and diving, lacrosse, field hockey, and more. The competitiveness of each sports program can vary, so it's a good idea to research specific teams you're interested in joining. You can visit Pace's athletics website to learn more about their teams, recent performances, and coaching staff.
Also, if you're interested in becoming a student-athlete at Pace, it's important to reach out to the relevant coach to express your interest and discuss potential recruiting opportunities. Connecting with them will give you a better sense of how well you'd fit into the team and the overall competitiveness of the program. Make sure to provide any necessary information, such as your high school transcript, athletic stats, or highlight video, when contacting the coaching staff.
Good luck with your athletic journey! And if you do end up choosing Pace for your future athletic and academic endeavors, go Setters!
