AWC Housing Options?

Hey everyone! I'm looking into attending Arizona Western College and I'm curious about the housing options on and off-campus. Any insights or recommendations on where to live? Thanks!

Hi there! Arizona Western College does offer on-campus housing options for students, which can provide a convenient and immersive college experience. There are three residence halls available: De Anza Hall, Garces Hall, and Kino Hall. All of these halls come with furnished rooms, shared bathrooms, and common areas for studying and socializing. In addition, living on-campus will provide you with easy access to campus resources, like the library, dining facilities, and events.

As for off-campus housing, you'll want to consider several factors before making a decision. Things like budget, proximity to campus, transportation, and personal preferences like whether you want roommates or not all come into play. Some popular off-campus neighborhoods near AWC include College Park, Valley Estates, and located closer to the city of Yuma, Villa Cordova, and The Terraces.

When searching for off-campus housing, be sure to compare the cost of rent and utilities with on-campus housing expenses. Also, keep in mind that living off-campus may require you to be more self-sufficient in terms of cooking, cleaning, and transportation. Public transportation may be available, but some students choose to bike, walk, or drive to campus depending on the distance.

In either case, it's a good idea to visit the campus and explore the surrounding neighborhoods, if possible, to get a feel for the area. You can also reach out to current or former AWC students for their insights and recommendations. Ultimately, the best housing option for you will depend on your preferences, budget, and lifestyle. Good luck!
