University of Rochester Average SAT?

Just wondering, what's the average SAT score for students who get admitted to the University of Rochester? Trying to figure out if my scores are up to par.

The average SAT score for admitted students at the University of Rochester typically falls between 1430 and 1550. This range represents the middle 50% of admitted students, which means that 25% of accepted students scored below 1430, 25% scored above 1550, and the remaining 50% scored within this range.

Keep in mind, though, that the admissions process at the University of Rochester is holistic, and your SAT score is just one part of your application. Strong essays, extracurricular involvement, and demonstrated interest can all help boost your chances even if your SAT score is slightly below the average for admitted students.

If you want tips on how to strengthen the other aspects of your application, check out this blog post from CollegeVine, which provides some examples of essays real students submitted to the University of Rochester, as well as analysis of what they did well, and any places for improvements: https://blog.collegevine.com/university-of-rochester-essay-examples/. Finally, it's worth noting that the University of Rochester is officially test-optional, so you actually are not required to submit an SAT score. However, there are instances where doing so could still be a good idea. For detailed guidance on how to navigate test-optional policies, check out this blog post from CollegeVine: https://blog.collegevine.com/does-test-optional-mean-test-optional/.

Good luck with your application to the University of Rochester!
