Does University of Miami require SAT?

Hi all! I've been looking into applying to the University of Miami next year, but I can't seem to find a clear answer on whether they require the SAT for admissions. Can someone please clarify this for me? Thanks!

Hello! The University of Miami has shifted to a test-optional admissions policy for the Fall 2021 entry term through the Fall 2024 entry term. This means that submitting your SAT scores is not required for admission during this period. You can choose whether or not you want to submit your test scores as part of your application.

If you feel that your SAT scores accurately reflect your academic abilities and will strengthen your application, you can certainly include them. If you feel that your scores do not represent your full potential, you can opt to leave them out.

The University will review your application based on the remaining components, such as your academic record, extracurricular involvement, and essays. Keep in mind that if you choose not to submit your test scores, other aspects of your application may weigh more heavily in the admissions process.

Remember that the test-optional policy is currently in place through Fall 2024, so make sure to double-check the admission requirements for your specific entry term. This policy may change in future application cycles, so it's a good idea to check the University's official channels when you are applying. Good luck with your application to the University of Miami!
