What SAT scores do Northeastern University applicants usually have?

I've recently become interested in applying to Northeastern University, and I'd like to know what SAT scores are competitive for their applicant pool. Does anyone know what range I should be aiming for?

To be competitive for admission to Northeastern University, you'll want to aim for an SAT score within the middle 50% range of admitted students. For the Class of 2025, the middle 50% SAT score range was 1460-1530. This means that 25% of admitted students scored below 1460 and 25% scored above 1530.

To give yourself the best chance of admission, you should aim for a score above the 25th percentile (1460+), and ideally, you'd want a score near or above the 75th percentile (1530+). Keep in mind that Northeastern practices a holistic review process, and high test scores alone won't guarantee admission. It's essential to have strong grades, extracurricular involvement, recommendation letters, and essays as well.

However, it's important to note that Northeastern, along with many other universities, is currently test-optional due to the COVID-19 pandemic. You can still apply without submitting SAT scores, and your application will be evaluated based on other aspects of your profile. If you feel your SAT score accurately represents your academic abilities and strengthens your application, you should submit it. If you think your scores don't showcase your potential or could harm your application, consider applying test-optional.
