ACT Math formula sheet?

Hey guys, is there a formula sheet or list of math equations that would be useful for the ACT Math section? I want to make sure I'm prepared for anything the test might throw at me.

Hey there! I've compiled a list of some math formulas and concepts that you should be familiar with for the ACT Math section:

1. Arithmetic concepts: Order of operations (PEMDAS), fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions.

2. Algebra concepts: Solving linear equations, quadratics (factoring and quadratic formula), systems of linear equations, direct/inverse variation, and solving exponential/logarithmic equations.

3. Geometry concepts: Pythagorean theorem, area and perimeter of different shapes (squares, rectangles, triangles, and circles), volume of solids (cylinders, cones, and spheres), properties of linear and angle relationships, special right triangles (30-60-90 and 45-45-90), and SOHCAHTOA for trigonometry.

4. Coordinate geometry: Distance and midpoint formulas, equation of a circle, and slope-intercept/point-slope form of linear equations.

5. Probability and statistics: Basic probability, mean, median, mode, range, and standard deviation.

Here are some specific formulas/concepts you should know:

- Quadratic formula: x = (-b ± √(b^2 - 4ac)) / 2a

- Slope formula: m = (y2 - y1) / (x2 - x1)

- Distance formula: d = √((x2 - x1)^2 + (y2 - y1)^2)

- Midpoint formula: M = ((x1 + x2)/2, (y1 + y2)/2)

- Equation of a circle: (x - h)^2 + (y - k)^2 = r^2, where (h, k) is the center and r is the radius.

- Properties of special triangles: For a 30-60-90 triangle, sides have a ratio of 1 : √3 : 2. For a 45-45-90 triangle, sides have a ratio of 1 : 1 : √2.

- Trigonometry terms (SOHCAHTOA): Sine (sin) = opposite / hypotenuse, Cosine (cos) = adjacent / hypotenuse, Tangent (tan) = opposite / adjacent

- Law of Sines: a/sin(A) = b/sin(B) = c/sin(C)

- Law of Cosines: c^2 = a^2 + b^2 - 2ab cos(C)

This list should cover the key concepts and formulas you'll need for the ACT Math section, but make sure to practice questions to familiarize yourself with how the content is tested. Good luck with your preparation!
