Do I need to submit my SAT scores to Harvard?

Hey everyone! I've heard that some colleges don't require SAT scores, and I was wondering if that includes Harvard. Do they require SAT scores for the application process? If so, what are their minimum score requirements? Thanks in advance!

Yes, Harvard does require SAT or ACT scores for the application process. Starting from the 2024-2025 application cycle, Harvard has ended its test-optional policy and requires all applicants to submit an SAT or ACT score. However, Harvard does not have a minimum score requirement because they use a holistic review process, and applications are evaluated with many factors in mind.

While there's no official minimum score, you can get a rough idea of what a competitive score might look like by referring to the middle 50% range of admitted students. For Harvard, the middle 50% range for the SAT is around 1460 to 1570. This means that 25% of admitted students scored below this range, and another 25% scored above it. Keep in mind that this is just a general guideline, and having a score within this range does not guarantee admission, just like having a score below it doesn't automatically rule you out.

The most important thing is to have a well-rounded application with strong academics, extracurricular activities, letters of recommendation, and a personal essay that showcases your unique qualities. Good luck with your application!
