Where's University of Columbia located?

I'm looking into the University of Columbia as a possible college choice, but I'm unsure of its location. Is it in a big city or a small town? Would love to know what the surroundings are like, too. Thanks in advance!

The University of Columbia you might be referring to is actually called Columbia University, and it's located in New York City, specifically in the Morningside Heights neighborhood of Manhattan. Morningside Heights is often considered an academic hub, as it's also home to other institutions such as Barnard College and the Manhattan School of Music.

Columbia's campus features a mix of historic and modern architecture enclosed within urban surroundings. The campus itself spans over 32 acres and offers a sense of seclusion amidst the bustling city. Many of the university buildings are adorned with green spaces and tree-lined walkways, providing a lovely atmosphere for students to study and relax.

Being in New York City, Columbia students have access to a vast array of cultural, artistic, and educational opportunities. The city also offers extensive public transportation options, enabling students to explore Manhattan and the other four boroughs, each with their own unique character and attractions. Keep in mind that living in a big city like New York can be expensive, so take your cost of living and personal preferences into account when considering Columbia University as an option.
