send sat score to college

Hey friends, after taking the SAT, how do I send my scores to the colleges I'm interested in? Is there a specific process I need to follow?

Hello! Sending your SAT scores to colleges is a straightforward process. After taking the test, you can send your scores directly through the College Board website. Here's a step-by-step outline of how to send your scores:

1. Log in to your College Board account at collegeboard.org.

2. On your dashboard, select "My SAT" or "Send Scores."

3. You'll see a list of your SAT test dates. Choose the test date for which you want to send scores.

4. After selecting the date, you'll have the option to search for colleges by name, state, or type. You can send your scores to up to four colleges for free if you do so within nine days of taking the test. In this case, you should have received a code for each college where you can send your scores for free. After the nine-day window has passed, there's a fee per college.

5. Once you've selected the colleges, review your order to make sure you're sending the right scores to the right schools.

6. Lastly, confirm your order and submit the request.

Note that it takes around 1-2 weeks for the College Board to process and send your scores to the colleges. Keep this in mind as you plan, particularly when applying close to a college's deadline. Additionally, many colleges now allow self-reporting of test scores on your application, in which case you don't need to send official score reports until after you've been admitted. Make sure to check each college's specific requirements to ensure you comply with their guidelines.

Good luck with the college application process!
