Davidson SAT Requirements?

Hey, I've been looking into Davidson College and I'm trying to find out what their SAT requirements are. Does anyone know the range of scores they accept or what an ideal score would be to have a competitive application?

Hey there! Davidson College is a selective liberal arts college, and while they are currently test-optional, it can be useful to look at the range of scores for admitted students to get an idea of what a competitive score would be. For the middle 50% of enrolled students in the Class of 2027, SAT section scores are as follows:

- SAT Evidence-Based Reading and Writing: 690-750

- SAT Math: 670-760

To be considered competitive, it's generally a good idea to aim for a score within or above this range. Of course, keep in mind that colleges like Davidson consider your application holistically, so your SAT score is just one of several components they'll use to evaluate your fit for their school. Strong extracurricular activities, a well-written essay, and impressive letters of recommendation also play significant roles in the admissions process.

However, if your SAT score falls below the typical range, don't let that discourage you from applying. Davidson is also known for its commitment to need-blind admissions and meeting 100% of demonstrated need for students. So if you have other strong aspects to your application, it's still worth giving it a shot! Good luck!
