CUNY Ranking Information

Hey guys, I'm having a bit of trouble finding info on CUNY college rankings. There are so many campuses, I want to know which ones have the best academic reputations. Can anyone give me an idea of how the CUNY schools rank within each other? Any insight would be appreciated. Cheers!

Hello! I understand that it can be difficult to navigate the various CUNY schools and their rankings. While rankings can change year to year, I'll provide you with a general idea of how some of the CUNY schools rank in terms of academic reputation.

1. Baruch College - Well known for its Zicklin School of Business, Baruch stands out as one of the top CUNY schools, especially for programs in business, finance, and accounting.

2. Hunter College - Hunter College has a strong reputation for its liberal arts programs and is also known for its nursing, pre-med, and pre-dental programs.

3. City College of New York (CCNY) - CCNY is recognized for its engineering, social sciences, and humanities programs. The Colin Powell School for Civic and Global Leadership is also noteworthy.

4. Brooklyn College - This college has a solid reputation for arts and sciences as well as business programs.

5. Queens College - Queens College offers a variety of programs including education, psychology, and social sciences.

6. Lehman College - Lehman College is known for its nursing, social work, and education programs.

7. John Jay College of Criminal Justice - As the name suggests, John Jay is focused on criminal justice, public administration, and forensic science programs. It's a top choice for students interested in these fields.

Keep in mind that each CUNY school has its unique strengths, and your choice should be influenced by your specific interests and desired program of study. Don't just rely on rankings, but also consider factors like location, campus culture, and available majors when making a decision. Good luck with your college search!
