What's the average GPA for UW?

Hey guys! I'm currently a junior in high school and considering applying to the University of Washington. I was curious about the average GPA of admitted students. Does anyone have any information on this or know what GPA range I should be aiming for? Thank you!

Hey! It's great that you're interested in the University of Washington (UW). The average GPA for admitted students at UW tends to vary slightly from year to year. For the most recent admissions cycle, the middle 50% of admitted students had a GPA range from around 3.72 to 3.95 (unweighted). However, remember that UW evaluates applicants using a holistic review process, so other factors like test scores (if submitted), extracurricular activities, and essays will also play significant roles in your application.

Aiming for a GPA within or above that middle 50% range will make you a more competitive candidate at UW. However, if your GPA is slightly below that range, don't be discouraged. There are still opportunities for you to showcase your strengths through a rigorous course load, impressive extracurricular activities, and well-crafted essays.

Best of luck with your college applications, and I hope this information helps!
